Desierto, Clima y Turismo. La importancia de la información climática para la gestión y planificación turística en la provincia de Isfahán (Irán)

La realización de actividades de ocio y recreación en entornos desérticos plantea algunos problemas críticos que afectan a la producción y al consumo turístico. Entre estos se identifican los relacionados con el clima extremo que impone riesgos que comprometen la seguridad y el confort de los visitantes, condicionando con ello el diseño y la programación de actividades, la gestión turística y la propia planificación del destino. Este estudio cuantifica la idoneidad climática para el turismo de naturaleza durante la primavera, el verano y el otoño en cinco destinos con clima árido en la provincia iraní de Isfahán (Ardestan, Isfahan Airport, Khur-Va-Biabanak, Natanz y Shahreza) mediante la aplicación del método de los tipos de tiempo a resolución horaria. Los resultados muestran la importancia de los análisis climáticos de alta resolución en la generación de información de utilidad para la organización intradiaria/interdiaria de actividades de interior/exterior en destinos de regiones áridas. El tratamiento individualizado de siete tipos de tiempo favorables permite adaptar la respuesta a diferentes situaciones atmosféricas del destino. En el contexto de empeoramiento de las condiciones atmosféricas de numerosos destinos turísticos del mundo como consecuencia del cambio climático parece aconsejable complementar los tradicionales análisis de potencialidad turística de los climas a resolución diaria, con análisis a resoluciones temporales más finas que favorezcan la adaptación y la resiliencia de los destinos.
